You know that we at seen. are big fans of the “Letter from Jamaica” blog who made it into our personal top three blogs from Jamaica (besides, of course, The Afflicted Yard and The Phoenix from a Gas House) list in no time.

Yesterday, it had a great feature on our friends Natalie Storm and Dylan Powe who are talking about their strategy of success in a time in which Vybz Kartel´s latest album “Pon Di Gaza” sold only 8 (that´s e-i-g-h-t) copies in the US in the first week after the release:

Storm has built up a strong web presence outside of Jamaica. Collaborations have introduced her to fans of those other genres and producers including: Toddla-T, Skream, Graham Sinden and Heatwave from the United Kingdom; Austin Leeds, Max Glazer, Stretch Armstrong, Dre Skull and 77Klash from the United States; Wildlife! from Switzerland; Tim Turbo from Germany and Denmark’s platinum-selling Enur.

The article gives some nice insights into the world of Dylan and Nats and at the end announces an upcoming Natalie Storm and Wildlife! combination which will see Natalie and Sam giving the The Clash´s “Should I Stay Or Should I Go”  their very own twist. Looking forward!

In the meantime, check Natalie Storm´s appearance on the Cheese Trix riddim:
