The Upsetter: The Life and Music of Lee Scratch Perry.
posted on April 2nd, 2011 by Tobias in VideoVia Daniel Haaksman I learned that there’s a documentary about the the life and music of Lee »Scratch« Perry that I’ve slept on so far. The movie is called »The Upsetter« and it charts
70 years in the life of Lee »Scratch« Perry in his own words through an exclusive interview given to American filmmakers Ethan Higbee and Adam Bhala Lough in Switzerland in 2006. It is also a documentation of 30 years of Jamaican music and culture. The film is narrated by Academy Award winner Benico Del Toro.
Currently, the documentary is being screened in the US and Canada and on the official website one can pre-register to be notified when the DVD release hits the streets.
