50 Essential Dancehall Records of the 80s

With the holiday season giving me some time, I finally had the chance to start to not only flip through but read Beth Lesser´s “The Rise of Jamaican Dancehall Culture“. I really like it so far.
On page 52, there´s a little list of “50 Essential Dancehall Records of the 80s”. As the tunes in the list really are essential, I tried my best to compile them on Youtube and managed to find 44 out of the 50. Here´s my 80s Dancehall essentials playlist.
