Fish and Festival – Germaican style

For New Year´s Eve, I tried for the first time to make my own festivals as a side dish for trouts, typical German fish. Following the recipe and the instructions on Jamaica Travel and Culture,

1 1/2 cups flour
3 tablespoons cornmeal
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla,

I was quite satisfied with the result even though I have to admit it is still a difference eating them in a nice little restaurant in a harbour just out of Kingston…

    well, it´s not like i´m a pro but when i find the time (and ideally somebody to buy the stuff to cook with for me), i quite enjoy cooking.
