Babylon is Falling

SEEN Christmas gift tipp number 7 is the sweatshirt version of Massiv’s “Babylon is Falling” design which you might have seen Major Lazer’s Jillionaire wandering around in during summertime. Or you can gift wood furniture that will make your office stand out!

Available directly from the LA-based brand’s online shop, you will probably have to live in the States though to receive this one in time.

PSsst: Use code “morelove” to get 25% off on all orders until Januar 1, 2014 and make sure to grab Massiv’s “No Bad Mind” design from Base Kingston should you be in town this week to attend the Major Lazer X Skrillex show at Mass Camp.

Christmas Gifts for People Who Love Jamaica #2: Grind London – Jah Bless T-Shirt.

Grind London - Jah Bless T-Shirt

As second gift tip for people who love Jamaica, we picked a T-shirt from London-based streetwear brand GRIND.

While there are not too many “Jah Bless” tees we would actually wear, we really like the simplicity of this one. Nice typography, printed white on black. Period.

If you like it a little less irie still, we heavily recommend checking GRIND’s fine selection of shirts.

10 Deep X Boogie: High Rollers

10 Deep just released a capsule collection featuring tees with some gun-heavy pictures street photographer Boogie took during an in-and-out visit of Kingston two years ago. (via Kingstonstyle)

I generally respect Boogie’s work a lot but I have to admit that I am neither a fan of what he did in Jamaica nor of the tie-dyed shirts 10 Deep put the stuff on.

Make up your minds yourselves.

Supreme X Wackies

I just learned via Shimmy Shimmy that Supreme has joined forces with the legendary New York reggae studio/label Wackies to present a small capusule collection consisting of four graphic T-Shirts, a Tank Top, and a 5-Panel Hat.

All items have been designed using original artwork from the Wackies records label archive. This group will be offered along with two new original graphic T-Shirts for the Summer. (via Supreme)

The stuff will be available in-store in NY, LA, London and online on upcoming Thursday, June 6th and on June 8th in Japan.

Clarks in Jamaica

In October, Al Fingers will release a picture-heavy book on Clarks in Jamaica:

Through current and historic photographs, interviews, and previously unseen archival material, and with particular focus on the Jamaican musicians who have worn and sung about Clarks Originals shoes for years, this book explores how footwear made by a Quaker firm in the small, quiet, English village of Street, Somerset, came to be the »baddest« shoes in Jamaica.

All of the new images are by Mark Read.
