The New York Times features an interesting article on the (high) fashion circus more and more ignoring non-white models. Found on the blog of Jeff Chang – author of “Can´t Stop Won´t Stop – The History of the Hip-Hop Generation”.

This one is not really Jamaica-related. Well, actually for me it is, as I got to really know the work of the person this post is about during my stay in Kingston. P. D. Rickards introduced me to some of his material I hadn´t seen before and which really impressed me. I´m talking about the shots of Boogie, a Serbian photographer who has spent a big part of his live documenting the darker side of New York´s society. Crack, Guns, Gangs, you name it. His work has appeared in the New York Times, The Rolling Stone, Time Magazine, and so on. Recently, he seems to do more and more “corporate” stuff, too. After some of his older pictures were used for the same “Lee”-campaign, P. D. Rickards´ shots were featured in, he now worked for Nike. That´s why the sneaker giant is putting up an exhibtion with Boogie´s photographies in Harlem. So if you´re a New York resident or in NYC in autumn, don´t miss that:

The “Everything Starts From Scratch”-shirt (note: there are only about 10 of them left in our shop) continues its global journey around the web. Next stop: the Frizzifrizzi-blog in Italy. Unfortunately, nobody in the seen.-hq speaks Italian, but those things them write which you get without being a selecta for One Love Hi-Powa sound good to us. Mille grazie!
P.S. Nice flickr-group by the way.

If you wanna get your daily update on music and streetwear, Attorney Street is the place to go.
Thanks to Scheme, the seen-Afflicted-shirt is featured there alongside the “Ra-Ta-Tat”-mix from Everest Sound.

We´re happy to see that the seen.-vs.-The-Afflicted-Yard-collabo-tee is getting some good feedback on the web. Just this morning, David from “I Love Your T-Shirt” – a blog that is about “centralizing and collecting relevant information closely linked to the t-shirtworld” – put up a little feature on his site.
