No big news today. Just help Mad Decent find a name for one track on their Major Lazer album, check Vibe magazine´s six-pager about the Gully God and put this Demarco feat. Konshens tune on repeat.

Fish and Festival – Germaican style

fishandfestival

For New Year´s Eve, I tried for the first time to make my own festivals as a side dish for trouts, typical German fish. Following the recipe and the instructions on Jamaica Travel and Culture,

1 1/2 cups flour
3 tablespoons cornmeal
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla,

I was quite satisfied with the result even though I have to admit it is still a difference eating them in a nice little restaurant in a harbour just out of Kingston…

Please support seen. designer Gabe in Karmaloop´s Cool Kids t-shirt design contest and VOTE FOR HIS SUBMISSION. I guess the idea behind his illustration is pretty clear -”The new black version of the Beastie Boys”, anybody? – and it´s wickedly executed, too.

P.S. Wondering why Obama´s in there? He´s black, he´s cool and he´s from Chicago. Nuff said.

Isn´t that some great news for the last day of 2k8? Burger King Germany just introduced the “Rasta Long Chicken” (natural!), Dutty Artz have a podcast now, too, the next “Fly High” night in Leipzig is on its way, sewing machines are the next iPhones (via Artschoolvets), and Punkdownloads has quite a few Trojan boxes.
