While winter keeps playing hard these days in Germany, the country’s number one summer open air festival – the Melt! – announced a first truckload of acts for this year’s show.
Among many others, A-Trak, Chromeo, Jamaica, Massive Attack, Modeselektor feat. Bonaparte, Schlachthofbronx (congrats!), DJ Shadow, Sinden, and The Very Best are going to play at Ferropolis from the 16th to the 18th of July.
Looks like we’re going to go on a little road trip!

Olé! seen. team hit man Tim Turbo turned radio host. Well, podcast host at least. But that’s almost cooler these days anyway. Check MAN FM 02 to witness his slickness.
But not only the moderation, the music is dope, too. Turbo has recent output from Busy Signal and Schlachthofbrinx as well as an exclusive preview of DJ Beware‘s and Motorpitch‘s “El Toro” EP which is about to drop on Man Recordings on the 22nd of February.

It’s already Thursday again – time to introduce you to Boss HiFi who are also part of the mighty Tropical Heat collective with which we started a collaborative weekly podcast series just 7 days ago.
The first hour of today’s Tropical Heat podcast – mixed by Tigger – pays tribute to Nearlin ‘Lyn’ Taitt, the Trinidadian guitarist who has died of cancer aged 75 recently and who was one of the most important contributors to the Jamaican rock-steady style.
The only word we’d like to lose about hour two – mixed by Jr. Pilot – is “Raggamuffin”.
Enjoy some classic material!

We really have high expectations for Protoje‘s debut album “The Seven Year Itch” which he will release with a little help of his cousin Don Corleon in summer.
While his single “Dread” is currently being played on Jamaican airwaves, with his lyrical fitness and his melodic delivery, we can also see him taking it to an international level in the course of the upcoming months.
Alongside DJ Crown Prince, Protoje now drops a nice 46-track reggae culture mix in order to make the wait for the album a little more enjoyable.
Find the tracklist on Facebook and download Crown Prince’s “For the Love of Reggae” mix hosted by Protoje here.
